Delta-8 vs. CBD: Why the Former is Better

Delta-8 vs. CBD: Why the Former is Better

Delta-8 as well as CBD are both cannabinoids. However, delta-8 is a lot more like delta-9 THC than CBD. Unlike CBD, delta-8 generates psychoactive impacts.

What are the different Delta8 strains?

Delta-8 and CBD are both derived from hemp. There are many different strains of hemp. Each strain has its own properties, and some have more CBD or naturally occurring delta-8 than others:
  1. Delta-8 Hybrid - Are you one who likes to relax peacefully after smoking a joint? If yes, you will definitely enjoy our Delta-8 THC Trump Carts. It offers a bit of fruity, skunky, spicy, and sweet notes to make the product taste and smell amazing. The robust aroma and flavor would make you want to buy an entire pack immediately.
  2. Delta-8 Indica - Our Delta-8 Indica strains have a skunky citrus aroma and are best for tackling various health problems, such as anxiety, stress, muscle pain, and headaches. Delta-8 vs. Delta-9 vs. CBD

The most significant difference between Delta-8 and Delta-9 is the chemical structure. Even though the compounds contain double bonds, the position of the bond on the carbon chain is different. What difference does it make? Delta-9 is more psychoactive, meaning it will make you high even after taking a mild dose.

As per the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp products may contain a maximum of 0.3% Delta-9 THC. That means that each gram of product gummy or liquid may contain 3 mg of Delta-9.

As already mentioned, Delta-8 is a rare compound, and it's easier to manufacture it from CBD. At STR8 Delta8, we use a combination of low pressure and low temperature to extract Delta-8 from CBD. Unlike other companies, we don't use any chemicals during the extraction process. This allows us to provide a final product that's 99.9% pure and retains the natural flavors and aromas of terpenes and other compounds.  The end result is a product that retains many of the original properties of the strain we extract our delta-8 from.
